The "Feminal in Farbe" workshop that took place this year was a unique three-day journey into self-exploration and creativity for all participants. Under the guidance of Sophia Andrianaki and Nina Roth, we focused on presenting and enhancing female creativity through color expression and intuitive painting. An art form based on freedom of expression and a direct connection to the artist's inner world. Without any previous experience in painting required, without even brushes, the artists experimented with colors. They allowed their hands and imagination to guide their creation. They let themselves be free to explore emotional and mental states and managed to express their desires and dreams, giving a new perspective to their everyday lives. Accompanying the experience were 30-minute dream journeys, movements and breathing exercises, meditations, interesting discussions and conversations.
A day at Kamichi's farm is a unique experience that combines tradition, nature and pleasant interaction with animals and the land. Our guests had the opportunity to live with us an authentic Cretan experience, following the rhythm of rural life in the most traditional way. Early in the morning, we started with the excitement of becoming farmers and livestock breeders for a day! Our first step was to explore the rich herbs and wild edible greens of the Cretan land, following our guide who introduced us to the therapeutic properties of each plant. With his guidance, we discovered the hidden flavors of nature, while we picked fresh vegetables from the farm's garden and fruits from its trees. This was followed by our acquaintance with the farm animals. The children (and us adults too) really enjoyed the opportunity to feed the sheep, goats, piglets and chickens. But the cutest of all was the donkey, Louisa, who was so friendly and calm, giving our little friends the opportunity to get close to her and pet her. The experience of producing traditional Cretan cheese was also unique. We learned the process and participated in the production of fresh cheese with the traditional cheesemaking. We made sourdough bread and with the cheese, we made traditional pies with the authentic Cretan recipe. Their taste was simply unbeatable! In the courtyard of the house, we enjoyed the Cretan delicacies that were offered to us, accompanied by fresh homemade raki and wine. And as Cretans always do, music and dancing are not missing from their hospitality. A day like this at Kamichi's farm is an unforgettable experience for the whole family, and a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and the traditions of Crete.
