A part of the beach is covered with tamarisk trees, which offer natural shade. The beach is well organized and has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Red Beach was a favourite spot for hippies in the 60s and 70s, and the northern part is still nudist-friendly. Because of its natural beauty and uniqueness, the beach has been recognized as one of the top beaches in the world. It is noteworthy that Red Beach and the surrounding area are protected by the Natura 2000 program, thus ensuring the protection of local nature and biodiversity.
